ISland Peak Climbing

Island Peak is one of the most popular trekking peak in Nepal and every year numbers of trekkers come to Nepal to climb it. It is  6187 metres high and also known as Imja Tse, lies in the Khumbu Himalayan range. This peak is a bit difficult due to its technical route and most of the climbers gets inner satisfaction because of the picturesque view from the top of it. It can be climb from Sept to May.  

Trip Highlight

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu, where our representative will receive you and  transfer to the hotel
Day 2: Kathmandu to Lukla and trek
Today, we will fly to  the Himalayan foothills where we begin our trek into the Everest region. The views from the plane are amazing, providing dramatic views of terraced hills and the distant Himalayan giants. After landing at Lukla, we will trek to Phakding.
Day 3:Phakding to Namche
From here, we continue trekking along the banks of the Dudh Kosi, crossing this majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. After entering Sagamatha National Park, the trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views to Namche Bazaar.
Day 4: At Namche
Today is a rest and acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. We will take an early hike above town, before the clouds move in, rewards climbers with a spectacular Himalayan sunrise and views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse , and the beautiful Ama Dablam. On the way down, we can visit the Sherpa Museum that houses an exhibit on traditional Sherpa lifestyle and a fabulous photography display by a local Nepalese naturalist.
Day 5: Namche to Thyangboche 
We will continue  our trek to Tyangboche along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Kosi with magnificent views of the mountains which may take around 6 hours. We spend the night next to the Thyangboche monastery, the spiritual center of the Khumbu region. We can visit the Tyangboche monastery if our group is lucky, we will see the Lama perform a ceremony and hear the mystical chanting and music.
Day 6: Tyangboche to Dingboche
On the next day, the trail drops to Debuche, crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola, and climbs to Pangboche among thousands of mani stones. Our uphill trek continues, taking us to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam.
Day 7: Rest day at Dingboche
You can rest today  and walk around the village and up to the hill to catch better view of mountains.
Day 8: Dingboche to Chukkung
After breakfast, we will continue our journey to Chukkung which takes about 4 hours.By the the noon, will hike to Chukkung Ri,( a beautiful hike with a stunning location below the Lhotse/Nuptse Wall) and return back to the hotel by the evening.
Day 9: Chukung to Island peak Base Camp
 After having spent a night there, we will continue to Island Peak base camp  and prepare for moving to high camp. We sleep in a tent.
Day 10: Island Peak High Camp
Today we take a 2-3 hour hike to high camp and spend a night there in a tent.
Day 11:Summit Island Peak 
We will start our journey early in the morning through rocky trail with the superb view of snow capped mountains.  Our climbing guide will fix the rope as you get at the bottom of Island peak. After having done summit, we will return back  to base camp for the evening.
Day 12: Island Peak Base Camp to Dingboche
Descend back down the Khumbu Valley to Dingboche and stay overnight there.
Day 13: Dingboche to Tyangboche
We will constantly descend down cross the river and finally arrives at Tyangboche where we spend a night.
Day 14:Tyangboche to Namche
The trail descends down to River and then climbs up to Kyangjuma with the nice scenery of Everest and  Amadablam and finally arrives at Namche.
Day 15: Namche to Lukla
Our last day on the trail, we hike from Namche to Lukla, crossing eleven suspension bridges and reentering the fertile valleys of the lower Dudh Kosi. We  spend overnight in Lukla.
Day 16: Lukla to Kathmandu
The scenic morning flight back to Kathmandu gives us one last chance to say farewell to the mountains.
Day 17: Final Departure 
In this day, our representative will come to pick up from Hotel and drop you off  to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure.

What is Included in the Cost

    Arrival and departure transportation, 2 nights hotel in Kathmandu, Kathmandu/Lukla/Kathmandu flight tickets, climbing permits, national park fees and tims card, climbing sherpa, guide and porters, in trekking, accommodations, foods( breakfast, lunch and dinner), tents and climbing equipments for island peak, food and salary for the guide, climbing sherpa and porters including their insurance etc.

What is Excluded in the Cost

    All the personal expenditure like bar bills( hard and cold drinks), helicopter resque, visa entry fees, sightseeing in Kathmandu and all the unexpected events like natural landslide, flight cancelled and road blocked etc.
