Round Manaslu Trekking

The trek around Manaslu is one of the classic treks in Nepal. The trail up the Budhi Gandaki is one of the most difficult routes in Nepal and there is huge amount of climbing as you trek up and down over ridges and onto shelves to bypass cliffs. The trail is rough and steep and it offers literally hangs on a bluff high above the river and many bridges. This trek is geographically spectacular and culturally fascinating

Trip Highlight

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
You will be picked up and welcomed by our airport representative as you arrive there and then transferred to the hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Gorkha
Today we will drive you to Arughat through Gorkha by private vehicle which may take around 8/9 hours and stay overnight there. Daty 03: Arughat toor Korsandhara
The trail ascends though rice paddies and farm fields until you pass the small kokethar hamlet.continue or the level path and you will see a huge rock to your left. from kyoropani, repeating ascent and descent you will see a huge rock to your left. from kyoropani, repeating ascents or descent you will be traversing until you come down to the shore of seti khola. from here, the trail repeats ascents or descent you will reach Kosandhara.
Day 04: Khursani bari to Machha khola
From lapbesi traverse the slope that has from fields and rice paddies.The trail soon goes down to the shore of white sand and goes back again or the mountain flank. in about an hour you will reach Machha khola.
Day 05: Machha khola to Jagat
Cross the suspension bridge to the left bank, pass the forested area, follow the path that look like it is carved in the rock and you will reach doban khola. trek for a while or the path in the farm field and you will reach jagat. this is the small village with a police check post and lodge.
Day 06: Jagat to fidim
leaving the village, descend the store steps to the wide river shores. cross the pangour khola that flow in from the left, more or traversing repeatedly and you will reach saguleri, from where you can see sringi himal beyond the valley. more further or the right back and start ascending until you reach fidim. though it is a Nepalese gurung village, it has a strong Tibetan influence.
Day 07: Didim to Deng
leave the village and a small ascending traverse the trail then goes down to the river shore. ascend a little while along the burhi gandaki and cross the suspension bridge to the opposite bank.
Day 08: Dyang to Namru
Cross to the right bank of the buri gandaki using the western and more on through houses and farm field. The path then enter s a forested area where Himalayan leaders stand out more on through the forest and cross over a wooden bridge again. Keep ascending in the forest until you reach Namru.
Day 09: Namru to Lo Village
From here, the trail ascends for a while until you reach a meadow. After passing the meadow, you will enter you can see the views of Dengsam village, naike peak, Manaslu north peak {7157m} and the long awaited Manaslu {8163m}.At the end of the day you will reach to Lo village.
Day 10: Lo village to Sama Gaun
 From lo village the path descends to the valley of Damonan khola, crosses the wooden bridge over the stream climb back of the steep slope. the trail will continue for about 10 minute. along this stream and it will fork into two. the path that goes straight will lend directly to same and the other that turn to the left will go to same via. hansanho gompa. from hanso gompa descends along the stream in the forest and you will join the main path. From here, we continue our journey and finall arrives at Sama Gaun.
Day 11: Sama Gaun{rest day for acclimatization}
Today, you have whole day free. you can visit sama gompa in about 20 minute from this village. It is on top of the hill and worth full to visit. After passing the gompa, there is a wide grassy land from where you can see Manaslu in the evening and in the morning so beautifully that you may feel as if you were in another world.
Day 12:Sama Gompa to Samdu/Dharamsala
The way from here, descends to the budi gandaki which has now turned north again, and follow into a trail to the left that leads to the Manaslu base camp. when you enter the meadow from path on the river shore you will reach Kermo kharka, looking up at manaslu right in front of you. pass the kharka and you will be going by a long meadows the valley narrow gradually and the path traverses up the flank. follow the path down on the gentle flank and ascend again. to your left you will be over looking larkya bazaar. cross the two stream and you will see the great larka glacier. if you go around the valley of the salka khola and climb again,you reach the stone guest house{ 4450m} it is not a lodge but a kind of shelter called ‘dharmasala’ to be used for crossing over the pass.
Day 13: Samdu/Dharmasala to Bimthang larka lo
The route starts up the ridge in front of the guest house, eventually becoming a long gentle climb beside a moraine. cross a small ridge, descent until you reach the top of the moraine at 4700m. the trail becomes rougher and indistinct as it crosses the moraine to the south of steep grassy slope. it takes 3to 4 hrs. from the guest house to the pass. it is extremely cold and windy during the climb on the larkya lo in snow stones. The trail becomes better and easier until you reach a large meadow, a many wall and a small rest home. The place is called Bimthang where we spend a night there.
Day 14: Bimthang to Tilje
The trail drops from the bimthang meadow and crosses a glacial stream, and crosses Dudha khola on a wooden bridge. Climb over the side of the moraine and descend into a pine and rhododendron forest to hompuk{3430m}the walking improve as the trail descent, switch backing down to the river through forest to a goth {3030m}continue through fields over a clear stream, past houses and more fields interspersed with rhododendron and oak forest. stay on the north bank and reach Tilje.
Day 15: Tilje to Taal
Cross past field then through stand of bamboo and rhododendron to an exposed trail then traverses high above the steep river bank of the marsyangdi. the trail crests a ridged marked by an ugly cement archway as the valley suddenly open into a large plateau of the manang district. From here we descend down and crosses the river and finally arrives at beautiful place called Taal where we spend a night.
Day 16: Taal to Ngadi
We will descend down to Ngadi with beautiful views of countryside and at the end of the day, we will arrive at Ngadi where we spend a night there.
Day 17: Ngadi to Besishar and back to Kathmandu
From here we continue our journey to Besishahar and then drive to Kathmandu. Day 18: Final departure We will drop you to the airport for your final departure.

What is Included in the Cost
